Lake of the Woods Camping Sites

With thousands of square miles of boreal forest and tens of thousands of lakes, Northwest Ontario is one of the most beautiful camping destinations in North America. Across the region you'll find a wide range of camping options to choose from. Full service RV Parks can be found throughout the region - stay for a night, a week or the whole season if you want! Most campgrounds also have sites designated for tents.

As you bask in the sun and enjoy the view from your campsite, you'll likely want to take a dip in the refreshing waters of the lake nearby or enjoy a picnic with your family under the shade of a towering pine. Many campgrounds offer the traveler the conveniences of a central showerhouse, laundromat, convenience store, dumping station and much more.

Northwestern Ontario Campgrounds Activities available to campers in Sunset Country include hiking, swimming, paddle boats, canoes, boats, fishing and just relaxing. Breath in the fresh northern air and appreciate the many opportunities to view wildlife. Moose, whitetail deer, foxes and other animals are abundant in the boreal forest. If you like to birdwatch then you'll be happy to know that this region of Ontario is the summer home to many different species of songbirds in addition to larger species such as the great blue heron, bald eagles, and several species of owls - truly a nature lover's paradise.
