What we do . . . Holinshead Lake Resort offers Canadian fishing and hunting trips at our remote drive-in housekeeping resort with fly-in quality fishing and drive-in convenience and prices. Transportation is made easy. We are located approximately three hours north of the Canadian border and you can drive to our camp. However, there is only one road into our lake and this helps make your fishing experience exclusively yours. With an occupancy of 30 guests, you will be well-attended to.

Nearest Towns: We are 200 kms north of Thunder Bay off Highway 527.

Hunting Trips: We offer Canadian hunting trips for moose, black bear and grouse. We are a remote drive to resort with housekeeping cabin rentals.

Fishing Trip: We offer Canada fishing trips three hours north of the Canadian border. You can drive to our remote fishing camp on Holinshead Lake in Ontario.

Secluded Settings / Remote: We are the only resort on Holinshead Lake giving us a remote secluded setting atmosphere . It feels very remote, even though it's only a three hour drive north of the Canada/US border.

Swimming / Sand Beach: While on your family vacation at our resort on Holinshead Lake make sure you enjoy a day of relaxing swimming on our sand beach.

Volleyball Courts: As well as swimming, our resort has volleyball courts and canoes available to keeps the kids happy while not out on the lake fishing.

Birdwatching: If you like birdwatching in our secluded area of Northwestern Ontario there are many species available for a sighting.

Nature Photography: While on your vacation at our resort on Holinshead Lake, nature photography is a must so don't forget your camera.

Walleye: We offer walleye & northern pike fishing at its very best. Holinshead Lake has over 6000 acres of cool, dark, island-speckled water with several fast-moving rivers. You will do most of your fishing in depths of less than 20 feet.

Black Bear: Our bear management area covers over 2,400 sq kms. We guarantee working baits and quality service. This rich area, combined with our baiting expertise, will make your ontario black bear hunting experience one you will want to repeat year after year.

Moose: Five miles north of Holinshead Lake there begins a wilderness area covering some 350,000 square kms. Hunt moose in the heart of some of the richest resource bases in Northern Ontario in WMU 15B. Both archery as well as traditional rifle hunts.

Drive In Access: Drive in to our resort on Holinshead Lake north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It's a drive-in resort with fly-in quality fishing.

Cottage Rentals: Holinshead Lake Resort offers lakeside cottage rentals that all have lakeview decks. Besides having all the amenities of a housekeeping cabin, the cottages have barbeques & fishing cooking pots. Visit our website to view photos of our cottages.

Cabin Rentals: Our Canadian cabin rentals on Holinshead Lake are 2 & 3 bedroom cabins that have fully equipped kitchens, a living area, flush toilets and more. Vacation this year at our resort where we are the only camp on the lake.

Guides / Hunting: We offer an optional hunting guide service for our Ontario moose hunts. We offer moose hunting in WMU 15B.

Licenses / Fishing: Holinshead lake Resort sells fishing licenses at the camp. We also sell live minnows, night crawlers and leeches.
